IN THE WORLD OF SPORTS, ESPECIALLY IN UGANDA, IT IS DIFFICULT TO MENTION THE NAME SUREMAN (also reffered to as Muwoomya) AND NOT UNDERSTAND WHO WE ARE TALKING ABOUT.
Sureman is a football commentator from Mubende who is currently working in Kampala at Radio Simba and KBS TV. The radio personality whose voice is indistinguishable from that of a lion has a very inspiring story of his life, from being a roasted meat vendor on the streets of Mubende to being one of Uganda’s finest sports commentators and analysts.
Most powerful people don’t want to talk about where they come from but Sureman, every time he is on the radio and TV he happens to be proud of the fact that he sold meat on the streets of Mubende and he loves being from the same community.
His love for his community was shown when he started an annual festival in January which he named Nva Mubende Festival an event that is held at the Kasaana Playground in the heart of Mubende.
Another important notice about Sureman is that he is one of the cleanest and best dressed radio personalities in Uganda who has been seen several times shining in different outfits including bright suits during his radio duties. The unending smile on his face makes every outfit look finer on him and pulling off his smartness.
I can’t praise this man enough because besides being a media and sports star he is also very good DJ and MC with experience from different events including Radio Simba’s annual anniversaries and his own events.
